Saved by the Fire – The Glory of God
God doesn’t save us from the trials. Surely trials will come, but He will be with us in the midst of the trial. He was with the 3 Hebrew children while they were in the fire. He revealed Himself and manifested His glory while with them in the midst of the fire. He preserved them and kept them safe from the destruction of the fiery flames.
When they were released from the fire He did not need to release or reveal His glory contained the destructive force of the heat of the flames from harming them. He preserved his chosen people to bring Glory and Honor to Almighty God.
Saved by the Fire, God is with us during our fiery trials and tribulation, we all endure suffering in this world but the Lord is with us during these times of suffering and growth. Yes growth can be painful, change can be disturbing but God is with us through it all. It’s the Power of the Holy Spirit that saves us and delivers us while at the same time uses these fiery trials to refine us to strengthens us to work His perfect will and plan for our lives. We learn while in the fiery trial and our suffering how much God loves us and the Lord make clear to us his will and purpose for our lives. It’s Gods presence and continual comfort and support that gets us through these difficult times.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Rom 8:15-8:18
God’s Spirit makes us sure that we are his children. We grow in confidence and knowledge that we are the children of God as we study the scripture and God begins to reveal his Word in our lives. His Holy Spirit lets us know that together with Christ we will be given what God has promised. We will also share in the glory of Christ, because we have suffered with Him. That we would experience the freedom that He gives His children, as He is in this world so are we. As He brings us and transforms us from glory to glory to be changed to be like Him in glory and virtue.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
This hope of being with Him, being changed to be like Him saves us and delivers us to be free, released to walk in a new found Power with God. To walk in a new realm of experience, quickened by His Spirit as He begins to make His Word alive in us and continues to reveal Himself by the Power of His Spirit. To walk in this new life of Christ in me, my Hope of glory. This hope is not some far distant cry of deliverance and freedom, but is made real to me that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection.
Ro 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Ro 8:29 ¶ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
We travail and groan for the full transformation to all His glory through the power of His Spirit, to be manifested while we are still in these mortal bodies. As we come to know and experience His resurrection power and glory, as we begin to experience and come to know the Christ who now lives and dwells within us, my Hope of Glory.
As the Father is so are we in Him.
God has accepted me, because He has already chosen me to share His glory with me and you.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Rom 8:30
Where I am weak, I am made strong. As I come to know that He makes me strong as I continue to abide in the presence of His Word. He becomes so clear as He begins to reveal Himself, as He begins to cloth me with His nature and likeness. The very life and qualities of God dwells in me and have become my new life. I realize this life to be the life of Christ that He said that he would be with us, that He would send the comforter that would empower us and transform our lives, that we are now a new creation in Christ.
