About the Power of God’s grace and mercy to change and transform lives by the power of God’s Holy Spirit. Thinking about my friend Pastor Ray Martell in Canada.
The Lord will totally and radically transform our lives if we give ourselves to God and allow the power of God, His Holy Spirit to have total access to our lives. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate our minds. Remove the trash and renew our minds with the Word of God. We need to get rid of the human way of thinking. We need to obtain the mind of Christ, the Spirit mind. The Spirit life of Christ Jesus is far superior to the carnal mind. The carnal mind relies on human reasoning, which limits the power and ability of our thinking. The human mind the bible says, is at enmity against God. The human mind with it’s limited power can not comprehend the things of God, nor can it know it.
God can only be known and comprehended by the Spirit that abides in man. Jesus said you must be born again to be able to see and understand the things of God. Through the renewing of the mind by the Word of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit we can come to know and experience God.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12,13
By the power of God’s grace and truth we are transformed into the image and nature of God. We are changed from glory to glory to be conformed to be like the only begotten Son of God. We receive the mind of Christ so that we can know all things. Our hearts and minds need to be expanded and given access by his into heaven and to God Himself.
We learn to behold him, and adore him with all our hearts and minds, God’s only begotten Son. All God and all man. This comprehension that God is able to take on human flesh and form himself, cloth himself in the form and shape of man can not be comprehended by the mind of man.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Rom 12:1,2
Your mind needs to be renewed and transformed by the power of God’s Holy Spirit that brings life and quickens our minds. We receive a new renewed mind, a ready mind, that is now enlightened, made alive connected and in communication with the Spirit of God.
Now the mind is being feed and illuminated, able to receive and comprehend the Word of God. The bible says that the Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory.
His word which is now revealed to us by His Holy Spirit, quickens our mortal bodies, makes them alive. We are now able to know and understand the mind and will of God. Even the apostles during Jesus life could not understand that the will of God for Jesus life was to die on the cross to take away the sins of mankind.
Even Peter tried to stand in the way of God’s will by telling Jesus, God forbid that you should die and give your life to mankind as a sacrifice unto God, as full payment and acceptable sacrifice unto God. That would break the power of sin and death. That through the death of Jesus Christ, His Blood sacrifice, God would purchase back mankind that was lost.
So Jesus perfect sacrifice brought salvation to mankind. Brought total forgiveness for the sins of man. That if we accept the sacrifice of Jesus to be payment for our sins, then we are forgiven and made acceptable to God. We are transformed to be the children of God. No longer enemies of God, but now friends, now sons and daughters of the most High God.
